JOSEPH E. MYSLINSKI AGE: 80 PARLIN Joseph E. Myslinski, 80, of Parlin, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Born May 18, 1929 in Perth Amboy, Joseph graduated Perth Amboy Vocational School, Class of 1946. A United States Army veteran of the Korean War where he served the rank of Corporal from 1953-1955, Joseph returned to the employ of Syncro Machine Company where he worked as a Master Machinist, retiring after 40 years in 1995. He was a member of VFW Post #4699 in Sayreville. One of Joseph's passions was car repair, often burning the midnight oil on many a family vehicle. Creative drawing was a hidden artistic talent that Joseph displayed throughout the years. An avid fan of all sports, one of his favorite pastimes was rooting for his beloved Yankees and New York Football Giants, while attending as many games as he could with his son and grandchildren. One of his guilty pleasures was doing the Jumbles puzzle in the Sunday newspaper. Joseph served as youth soccer coach for Sayreville Recreation Soccer Association in the late 1970's. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Anna Payenska, as well as brothers, Leon, Edward, Eugene and Matthew, and sisters, Jeanette Kolodziej, Mary Gregowitz, Jennie Wickman and Katherine Mislinski. He is survived by a brother, Frank and sister Violet Potocki. Married to loving wife Virginia, celebrating 52 years July 27; his daughter, Diane Fogarty and son, David and daughter-in-law Jill; 4 grandchildren, Shaun, Kerry, Alex and Makenzie. Viewings for family and friends to be held at Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy, 732-442-0702, on Monday, July 27, 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 490 State Street in Perth Amboy on Tuesday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m. Following the service, Joseph will be laid to rest at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
